Questions?
We are putting a teaching series together for our
upcoming men’s breakfasts to help further equip you in
your role as a Christian man. We would love to get
your input on topics you would like to learn more about
and questions you would like to have answered. We
will design the series with these in mind. Please
put your input and questions below in the space
provided.
Questions will be posted here. All questions will
be posted confidentially even if you submitted your name
and e-mail address.
Could you consider some of
these topics to teach on in our times together for the
future as it relates to being men of the gospel?
- Men of the Gospel who are servants
- Men of the Gospel who are godly husbands
- Men of the Gospel who love the church
- Men of the Gospel who disciple other men
- Men of the Gospel who parent to the glory of God
- Men of the Gospel who proclaim the Gospel in life and
word
- Men of the Gospel who lead their families and church
- Men of the Gospel who are men of prayer
Jesus said, “Behold, I am sending
you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as
serpents and innocent as doves.” How do we train ourselves and our families to be
effective participants in this world, to not be
surprised by the world but to interact with the world as
Christ called us to above?
What is Biblical Masculinity? How do we Biblically deal with feelings of
failure, inferiority or insecurity in the world or in
our homes?
2 topics come to mind for the Men's Series:
One is child raising.
Perhaps this topic could be handled in an "open
mic" type of format. It would be important to have
some guys "pegged" to talk and give their ideas, but
then let the mic be open for other thoughts/techniques
from other guys. We can all learn from one
another. (Kind of like - with the abundance of
counselors there is victory.))
2nd topic is sex/lust. I believe this is an important
topic to have men review from time to time.
submitted by a wife from Dave Newton's suggestion.
Give some encouragement on family devotions. I observe
we start them, and sometimes don't finish...
Hard as wife to say, honey, can we do devotions?
Bible study skills and resources for Bible study.
Encouraging men to be humble servants in the home and in
the marketplace.
I know that I want to be a man who is elder qualified
(whether or not I am an elder some day), what resources
do we have or can we create to help define and foster
that?
